Clearly you've never seen the situation where 2+2=5.

That's cute... Christians kill Christians in large groups too. Look at IRA. Nagaland Rebels, Lords Resistance Army... for Christ's sakes, KU KLUX KLAN.

admitting you're a Muslim seemed to have done Keith Ellison some good as getting elected to Congress.

The difference is that the average Christian denounces christians that kill. The Muslims, not soo much.

what cmac or whoever it was posting on the last page hasnt realized yet is that the majority of techsans posters have no hope for the future and little faith in their fellow man.

Iraq is a non issue now. People are more concerned with the economy and gas. It was an issue 4 years ago, but like everything else, political concern goes in cycles.
WRONG. I read an article yesterday on cnn that said the war in Iraq is one of the biggest issues (if not the biggest) for this presidential election. Many blame it for our struggling economy.

I'm not going to put faith in a group that is the way it is. Yes, there are millions of great people out there, but for every great person there is an evil person. Humanity is landsliding.

Do nothing about it? No! That's definitely not what I am saying. I think that we can't be all kumbaya about this stuff. We have to act on it because that is the kind of world we live in. The thing is, someone will probably will say something about those neutral countries that keep their noses out of other countries' business and live peacefully. They aren't a super power. In my opinion, the only super powers around today are Russia, China, Israel, the United States, and Iran. (I guess to some extent Saudi Arabia because of their control over oil.) These countries control what goes on in the world. If some massive world war breaks out, what countries are the first to be taken over? The small peaceful countries. They are easy targets. What country consistently comes to their rescue? The U.S. and Britain (who is close to being a world power themselves, but IMO are slipping).

If you want to see gas prices hit $10 a gallon within the year, vote for Obama.

maybe gas hitting 10 bucks a gallon will be what it takes to get american people and american businesses to do something. i frankly am not all that scared about it. would mean higher demand for alternative sources and products which would lower the prices and make them more available. and id realllllly love two solar panels for my house (but i can already get fed. grants and tax credits to get these!)

I have plenty of faith in my fellow man and hope for the future, but I don't subscribe to the notion that everyone and everything has to change to see that hope and faith fulfilled.

It cost me almost $7 to get a single meal from McDonalds today with nothing extra. Inflation is ridiculous right now, Cathryn. Are you living with your parents or something? Because EVERYTHING is going up in price.
