I'm not trying to start shit, but I had a manager position at CompUSA. I was in charge of several employees, had access to everything in the computer systems, dealt strongly with incoming and outgoing inventory, shipped corporate orders in excess of $300,000 at one time, managed corporate accounts, etc. The job I had should have paid somewhere around $18/hr but CompUSA was a struggling business that couldn't pay me enough. They begged me to stay when I left. I actually walked into a damn good position with that company. I got the job because I had a degree. They hired me on the condition that I proved myself. I did, and that's why they wanted me to stay. I never really told you too much of what I did there. I did tell you that Dell was buying over a million dollars in inventory from us a year. I helped ship good portions of that. I am glad I walked away when I did, though, because well... we all know how that company ended up. aren't there still stores around? -------------------- Southern Rock, beer and bears!

aren't there still stores around? mostly in Florida. They also have a strong online business. The ones in Austin (and most of Texas are gone). Also, their business sales department is gone, and that's the side I was working in. I never dealt with retail when I was there (well, except when they needed someone with manager codes to pop the registers and shit).and that was possibly the best job I ever had. I had so much responsibility and control over stuff. It was awesome. I just left for better pay. |

I thought my room was whispering to me. Then I realized my husband left Ventrilo on on the other computer with his earphones still plugged into it.

I know, i used to be pinpoint... thats why i put the sad face. I was planning on leaving it pinned to the wood deck right by the neighbors door.... but alas i are the suck with my blow gun now. I need to practice again. To think i've taken out a snake before too... -------------------- |
