So, Samsung is coming out with a new phone through Sprint, the Samsung Instinct. My phone right now is a 2+ year old piece of shit, and I need a new one. Anyways, June 20th is suppose the release date. Anyone else looking into getting one? http://www.nowisgood.com/ http://www.instinctthephone.com/ -------------------- Beers that I have had, updated July 5th, 2009: 1,548

I was hoping for something that could compete with the iPhone for the Sprint network since I like Sprint more than ATT. I'm just going to wait until the bugs/kinks are worked out. -------------------- "Ah, y'know it's funny, these people they go to sleep, they think everything's fine, everything's good. It looks cool, but man, Sprint is struggling right now.
Read an article the other day (tried searching for it and couldn't find it to post it, but it was either on yahoo or cnn) about customer satisfaction among cell phone providers. Sprint had the lowest customer satisfaction ratings out of the 4 large carriers...by far. Verizon was highest. The article went on to explain that Sprint is definitely struggling right now. I can't say this doesn't surprise me. I had a horrible experience with them. It is cool, though. It kinda looks like this phone from Verizon: http://www.phonesreview.co.uk/wp-content/p...for-verizon.jpg Also, it's about time that Sprint came out with a cool looking phone. They have like 1 or 2 cool phones every 1-2 years. Verizon has the coolest selection of phones IMO. AT&T of course has the iPhone so yeah... T-Mobile is just cheap on their rates. |

I think the just got a new CEO or something. I've heard they've got some big changes coming (rumored they're going to start offering unlimited minutes on their "normal" priced plans or something).

I could be wrong myself. I just thought I saw signs for it in a Sprint store a few weeks back. We had went there to transfer our wireless internet thingy over to a friend since we didn't need it anymore (oh and we hate Sprint so we wanted to be done with them)

I don't know how people are getting screwed by Sprint. I've had nothing but pleasantness with them.
Is it because people don't pay their bills or something? I mean that'll get you in hot shit with any company. -------------------- "Ah, y'know it's funny, these people they go to sleep, they think everything's fine, everything's good. They wake up the next day and they're on fire."

I don't know how people are getting screwed by Sprint. I've had nothing but pleasantness with them. I always paid my bills on time. By biggest issue with them is their in-store service. In Lubbock, I would wait 2 hours in line for assistance that could only be taken care of in store. I thought maybe this was just an issue in Lubbock, but no. I waited almost an hour in a San Antonio store a few weeks back. Is it because people don't pay their bills or something? I mean that'll get you in hot shit with any company. When I walk into a Verizon store, I get helped right away. They don't piddle paddle around. The one time I had to wait was in El Paso, and they were super busy (way more busy than the San Antonio Sprint store)... I waited about 20 minutes tops. When my cellphone provider was Sprint, I constantly had shit on my bill that I didn't know what the fuck it was. They kept charging me for using the internet when I hadn't. It was gay. I was having billing issues with Verizon too, but finally I got all that taken care of. Then, I hopped onto my parents' plan since I NEVER use my cell phone anymore except to call them and my husband (at the time boyfriend) who all also have Verizon. When chosing a cell phone provider, though, I will definitely say the best thing to do is find out what privoders the people you call the most have. Really, every company has their downside so you want to chose a company that friends and family are with so you can get a cheap plan and take advantage of their unlimited mobile to mobile in network minutes. I'm just glad everyone I know uses Verizon. Let's just put it that way. |

Although I don't doubt all cellular companies have extra fees/charges they tack on that have no other purpose than to line their pockets. Most of the people I regularly call have Sprint so I'm golden on the mobile to mobile. I was also pondering Virgin Mobile but I haven't heard much about their services. -------------------- "Ah, y'know it's funny, these people they go to sleep, they think everything's fine, everything's good. I say sprint stores really suck. In Tucson I went to the sprint store and the tech was very condescending. I usually don't get mad and retort, but he was such a jerk. He said the phone was wet, and I pointed out that he had his soda on the work bench and it there was condensation dripping down the side, and he told me I should take care of my phone better in a rude way.
I took the phone to the "authorized dealer" waited 10 minutes and they switched out my phone. Jessica is right, their stores really suck. -------------------- Southern Rock, beer and bears!
