Ethanol production also has an effect on the increasing cost of food. Corn is used to produce ethanol which is fed to livestock such as cows. Milk and beef prices are outrageous.

Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?

Except that hardly anyone is using ethanol these days. I had a truck that could be filled up with ethanol, and I never once did because
1) I couldn't find a place close to my apt that sold it
AND
2) It was just as expensive, if not worse

My friend is buying a gas station in kentucky and the oil vendors were telling him that in june or july the percentage of ethanol in gasoline was going to increase. Not sure by how much or how true it is but it's something to think about. I mean obviously the cost of gas is having a much more dramatic effect on the price of all consumer and food goods but the price of items such as milk, cheese, and certain meats is just ridiculous.
