i guess what i'm getting at, is water vapor is water vapor... whether it comes naturally or via an electric car. i dont see how water vapor from a car would affect the atmosphere any differently.

i guess what i'm getting at, is water vapor is water vapor... whether it comes naturally or via an electric car. i dont see how water vapor from a car would affect the atmosphere any differently. Go back to what Chuck was saying .... what would the effects of global warming be if EVERYONE was driving a hydrogen car? Water vapor is water vapor yes, however you're essentially emitting it en-masse to the atmosphere AS A VAPOR wheras the vast amount of water vapor being emitted before everyone ran a vehicle on gas was astronomically less. It's another one of those "Duh" things that the idiot greenies don't seem to understand ... Let's say for moment that Co2 does trap heat and cause the near-earth atmosphere to heat up, if the atmosphere reaches %100 relative humidity the capacity for the same atmoshphere to trap heat is much higher ... that vapor wasn't there before we started converting liquid H20 to it's vapor form due to hydrogen .. It's a hypothetical situation that begs the question Chuck was asking ... which would be worse for global warming? -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!

It also could be the whole notion is completley off-key .... Nobody really knows yet and we probably won't for 50 years -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!

The fuel cell would be producing the energy for the compressor and it only transfers heat. I don't know enough about the chemistry of the cells. -------------------- Southern Rock, beer and bears!

the AC compressor... surely if it can cool the air in the car surely it can condense the exhaust. AC is just a heat exchanger, you can cool one area and heat another. It could work I guess, but the total amount of heat is greater after use, just displaced. -------------------- Southern Rock, beer and bears!

yeah, if your car is about to overheat, you are supposed to turn on the heater. That's what I heard anyways.

when you turn the ac off/heater on heat gets blown out of the engine and into the car - less hot air in the engine -> cooler the air in the engine -> less overheating. you just deal with it by rolling down windows. so you gotta turn it on full blast. temp. solution but it'll get you to a gas station or something

The heater in your car doesn't suck heat from the engine compartment. Your engine coolant runs through the heater core (basically a radiator) and provides hot air. If your engine is overheating it is for a reason. If you're turning on the heater that means you're leaving the damn engine RUNNING, which is the absolute last thing you should if it is overheating.
