I want to get the Chinese symbol for "foot" on my right foot. Everyone says Chinese symbols are cliche', but I don't think mine will be cliche' at all.

And then I want to get twin sparrows on my upper chest on each side near my clavicle. I also want to get a very small 4 leaf clover somewhere, but I have a reason for it.

I want a bunch of tattoos but I want them all to look classy and nice, so I'll have to make sure I don't overdo it.

any tattoo a chick has on her chest looks trashy. i have yet to see a single clavical tattoo where you can wear a nice dinner dress with and NOT look like a low price hooker

I hate to agree with impala but you don't know where you're going to end up. Tats are forever, it seems good now, but what about when you're 50 trying to set a good example for your kid.

I think that I turned out pretty well, and members of my family have tattoos going back 4 generations, so I also think the argument "don't get a tattoo because what would your kids thing" was kind of ridiculous.

But then again none of us have swastikas or facial tattoos.

What I'm saying is, between now and when the kid is old enough for one, her feelings of her kids having one might have changed.

Regardless, rabble's comment said that having a tattoo makes it difficult to set a good example for your offspring, and its just something that I fundamentally disagree with. I think there are plenty of worse examples to set for your kids, often committed by ink free upper middle class debt dwellers, but that's just a generalization.

not really. people change their fundamental ideals in life all the time. people go from being religious to not, or vice versa. or being an alcoholic to clean or vice versa. if you think tats are great when you're young but then don't like them when you get older, you're still stuck with them. i'm sure that may change at some point though (better/easier ways to remove them).

I think "good example" is completely objective really. So yeah his statement might be a little too generalized but it works for him.

True true. So that's why it's very important to really think on it and think long term when purchasing a house or a tat
