wow, i normally don't jump on the "rail on impala" bandwagon, but you really like to read into things don't you? When bush was priming for war, i did all the research I could trying to formulate my own opinion about his claims. I came to the decision that I didn't support a war with Iraq. But that's not the point of this chuck, you said that all of us supported the war in the beginning, and I was disagreeing with you. So you were already wrong, because not "every single one of you [us]" was not in favor of invasion. that's fine. let me rephrase. "almost everyone on here" |

what made you "switch sides" on that issue chuck? and "just" bombing Iran's nuke facilities might work, but what are the repercussions? do you think Iran will just sit back and go, "oh well they bombed our stuff, we'll just continue on business as usual." Because nothing was found, and lost of it was falsified. Israel Bombed saddam's nuke facility in the mid 80's. If we did the same thing in Iran and they tried to invade Iraq, we would really mess up their army. If we invade, we would have to deal with more insurgents. Iran already supports foreign fighters in Iraq, although not as much as previous. -------------------- Southern Rock, beer and bears!

Because nothing was found, and lost of it was falsified. Do you think it'd take five years to hide/destroy some weapons? Israel Bombed saddam's nuke facility in the mid 80's. If we did the same thing in Iran and they tried to invade Iraq, we would really mess up their army. If we invade, we would have to deal with more insurgents. Iran already supports foreign fighters in Iraq, although not as much as previous. I think if we simply bombed their nuke facilities and walked away, every single weapon left would immediately get launched at Iraq & Israel. Not to mention if Iran does successfully build some nukes or other bad weapons, they're not going to be dumb enough to put them in some facility where they're easy to find. So we just end up with the same pre-Iraq war problem. |

My brother still serves and I do not want to see him go to Iran because I know it would be stupid. -------------------- Southern Rock, beer and bears!

LOL So the war WAS about oil! Dogmeat-Jeezus said so!!!!!!!!!!! Well ... I mean how strong of case anyone wants to try to make about WMD's now, who knows ... but, when they say that the troops are over there defending our "way of life", I believe that, our way of life is dependenton cheap oil .... nasty, but true. Therefore, the more we'd drilled here for it the last 30 years, perhaps the less likley we'd have needed to go take over an oil-rich country maybe? I dunno, but yeah, you're fucking delusional if you think oil wasn't a huge reason for Iraq hahah -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!

we should of just bombed iraq or iran's enrichment program and not invaded. Reminds me of that movie Charlie Wilson's War (if any of you haven't seen this movie, I highly recommend it). Fund a war with Iran, but do it all through secret earmarks sent to a foreign country, in this case Israel. Also, I'm so sick of people saying that Israel is bullying Palestine. They take a lot of shit from the people over there. They have to defend themselves.
Israel will probably do a strike, we should publically denounce, while pumping them money. Its middle east politics! If bush orders an invasion, i hope the pentagon tells him to go fuck himself. |
