As most of you know, one of our family businesses burned to the ground in December. We always suspected arson but never knew for sure until some punk 20 year old kid was arrested last month. Given that he plead guilty, I figured he'd be put away for a long time, since arson (also resulting in 2nd degree burns to one of the fire marshalls) is a pretty fucking serious offense.
Wrong. Apparently, he copped some sort of plea bargain and will end up getting nothing more than probation. Are you fucking kidding me? He burned our business to the ground, seriously injured a public official, caused us to nearly go bankrupt....and his only punishment is a few weeks in jail and probation. I'm speechless. --------------------   |

the people who really need punished don't get it and the people that should get off easy get the book thrown at them... with the justice system what's up is down and what's down is up
