the rule says you can't commit a foul. the rule says you can't video tape signals. what's the difference?

No, the rule says if you do X you commit a foul, which results in Z.

The video tape rule says that taping the opposing sideline's signals is prohibited.

Uhh....degree of seriousness?

The only thing that fouling in basketball and videotaping other teams have in common are both are against the rules. Come on dude, you're smarter than that
