talk about ignorant!

What am I ignorant of by stating that there are small vehicles that aren't fuel efficient, or that I have not witnessed someone take 10 minutes to pull out of a parking lot? You're just a crybaby about people with big trucks is all. The greenie crap gives you an excuse to break out the tears.

I work in the field roughly 19 days a month, probably another 4 or 5 days a month in the office.

I'm on my week off right now, so I post a lot.

yes it is. Air Conditioners are one of the most polluting things in the world. They burn coal for energy, and have icky non-recycleable chemicals in them, and are icky!

We just need to face the facts: every aspect of our lives revolves around said "harmful" products. Literally every moment of our day involves harming the environment. I'm not an environmentalist by any means, but I am seriously considering buying those reusable grocery sacks from the supermarket. Plastic bags are really bad because they clog up the sewage system. Paper bags just seem wasteful because they can't be reused (like plastic bags can be). I don't know. It's just something I am considering. I will have to run it by my hubby though.

You have to vote for Al Gore in order to be saved. It's like, he's Jesus, so unless you worship him, you're going to rot in hell for raping the environment.

Voting for Al Gore gives you a place in heaven apparently.

HVAC uses the majority of household energy. And Honeywell makes the non evil ozone depleting refrigerant of tomorrow!

Make one that runs on solar power and can actually provide about 12 tons of cooling on a 24 hour basis and you're onto something wink.gif

Actually that would be a really good use for solar panels, powering air conditioners....

Jessica is right. There is no way that we can escape the world in which we live. Americans are bred to expect a certain amount of convenience and comfort. Unfortunately, most of these activities require electricity and by proxy the burning of fossil fuels. I think it is important to do as much as you can because let's face it no single individual can save this god damn planet. But doing simple things like recycling or turning off the lights when you leave a room make a difference.

Any of you that went to Tech probably ate at one of the hospitality dinning facilities, including the market at which i work. Recently I started a recycling program with my coworkers and I am taking out anywhere to two to three huge garbage bags filled with plastics every other two days and I hope to eventually spread to all the other areas on campus.

Regardless of what you believe as far global warming and it's relation to the burning of fossil fuels, I would hope that everyone believes the environment must be protected.

Also, paper bags can be recycled.

A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?
