WASHINGTON — Companies would no longer be able to use genetic information like a person's predisposition for breast cancer, sickle cell or diabetes to make insurance or job decisions under a bill passed by Congress today.

Good. That'd be friggin BS that my insurance would cost higher or that an employer could refuse to hire me because of genetics.

He probably voted against it because of earmarks included in the bill that he did not want to pass (as he has done in the past) or he did not think the bill was worded properly to actually enforce what it's designed to do.
