QUOTE (False Dude @ Apr 12 2008, 01:35 PM) *
the GT has a 4.6 and the GT500 has a supercharged 5.4? And GT500 is 40k not 140k right? GT is like 25-30k?

I said the Ford GT. NOT FORD MUSTANG GT(please fucking read what I fucking typed). There is a difference if you believe or not. The Ford GT has a 5.4 liter supercharged V8, which is the same as a Ford SHELBY MUSTANG GT, which also happens to have god damn exact 5.4 liter supercharged V8.

I know this is going to be hard for you to comprehend, but I use common sense and logic when I make my posts. So fucking think it over before you make a post that is of the comprehension level of a kindergartener.

edit: I didn't realize that Jessica had made a rebuttal, but I just got back a few minutes ago from the Boulder Strong Ale Festival where there were 68 beers on tap, and all beers had to be at least 8% alcohol by volume, and the Saturday session had lasted 6 hours.

The Ford GT and the Ford Shelby Mustang GT500 have the same engine. $140k car vs a $40k car.
How about the Ford Shelby Mustang GT500 and the Ford Mustang V6? Same chassis.

whats wrong about it?

The GT has an aluminum block, mustang GT500 doesn't. they share a couple of similiar parts, have similiar heads, etc, but that's all they are, "similiar". In the same way that $140k is "similiar" to $40k. The long block is completely different. displacement might be close, but the motors are nowhere near close to being equal. He seems to think "5.4L = 5.4L" so they're the same motor. I'll trade him a 350 with low miles from an old chevy pickup for a ZZ350 GMPP crate motor any day of the week. They're the same motor right? rolleyes.gif

And as far as the chassis of the GT500 and the mustang V6 being the same, again that's laughable. Just because the car looks the same doesn't mean the chassis is the same. Shocks, struts, coil over springs, stabilizer bars, control arms, 3-link rear end, panhard bar all massively upgraded in the GT500 as compared to the baby just turned sweet sixteen mustang V6.

And while we're off the subject a tad and talking about awesome expensive cars, I just read about this sucker the other day:

2009 Caddy CTS-V, will carry the LS9 from the new Corvette ZR1
