I guess it's just that I lived in El Paso and had a lot of friends that were rear-ended or side swiped by someone who didn't have insurance. Austin is very different because the economy is different; however, I did have a very close friend in Austin who was driving around without insurance for about a year because she couldn't afford it. I just like to keep my investments safe. Of course, I had to insure the hell out of my truck because I owe on it and the lease had insurance stipulations. When I get rid of my truck in less than a month though, I'll be saving damn near $500 a month after all things are considered (monthly payment, insurance, and gas). My insurance even though it's full coverage is really cheap though because I have a completely clean driving record with no tickets or accidents. For both my husband and I and our two vehicles, we only pay $720 every 6 months and he is 20 and I'm 23. That's really good IMO. Sucks having a DUI on your record because of the insurance hike. I'm guessing that's where the problem lies?

Relax, he's just pissed because I'm not jealous that he is getting some stupid overpriced car.
Back to the topic, I haven't test driven one yet but if I like how it drives/feels I'd get a tC, probably follow that up with a Honda Fit if/when they add the ability to put a stronger engine in it. They are practical cars good for the commute and casual vacations. Meh, guess I'm not cool like will. -------------------- FUCK YOU

I still think that Nissan I posted is fucking sex. I think it's weird that they put it under their Nissan line of cars and not their Infiniti. It seems to me, though, that Nissan is trying to push themselves forward as more of a luxurious brand of cars (even on their economical side). I mean, the 350Z is a fucking sweet car too, and the Sentras, Altimas, and Maximas all have really nice body styles and come with a lot of extras for the price. Yeah, Nissan has some cheaper cars, but it's just seems to me that they are trying to become more classy of a car group.
Anyone seen the new Ford Focus speaking of which... They completely redid the body like last year or something and they are pretty nice looking too. I wouldn't ever consider one, but the body style is nice. |

Wouldn't make sense to make it an Infiniti. GTR has always been a Nissan. No reason to change that just because its coming to America.

I think I need a more efficient vehicle now. I just hit the $50 a week in gas bracket. That may not seem like much to some, but when I only make 1800 a month after deductions, it's quite a bit (~12% of weekly net pay)

show me a $50k car that has the same engine as a $25k car. The Ford GT and the Ford Shelby Mustang GT500 have the same engine. $140k car vs a $40k car. no. again, show me a $50k car that has the same chassis as a $25k car. How about the Ford Shelby Mustang GT500 and the Ford Mustang V6? Same chassis. -------------------- Beers that I have had, updated July 5th, 2009: 1,548
