The stakeholders and VPs for USAA are all avid McCain supporters and are vehemently against illegal immigration.

So why stop at spanish? Why not put chinese, german, french, japanese, (insert other immigrant) translations everywhere? Why not hold our courts in all these languages? Why give preferential treatment to one group of immigrants?
I'll tell you why. Because catering to all is impractical, and catering to one is unfair. English has established itself as the international language (atleast in western countries). It just so happens that our native language is also the international one which means we don't need to learn any other to get by (albeit, if you intend to stay any long length in another country, you probably should learn their language). But for travelers that speak another language, it is really important to learn the international langauge so that they may get around easier, and they really shouldn't expect anything more. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ good...thats the way it should be did I mention I'm insured with USAA How are your rates with them? I'm trying to my family switched over and I'm wondering if it's worth all the trouble. And before you ask, yes, I qualify to join. -------------------- ![]() |

AGREED when in rome, do, as the romans do. NOT "when in rome, make the romans do as you do" -------------------- |

QUOTE How are your rates with them? I'm trying to my family switched over and I'm wondering if it's worth all the trouble. And before you ask, yes, I qualify to join. I wasnt gonna ask. You're a smart dude when it comes to business and stuff. I figured you already knew.Rates are outstanding. I was paying $600 every 6 months for my truck insurance with Geico and a little more when I was with Progressive (albeit, I liked Progressive better and considered switching back to them despite the pay hike...that is until I qualified for USAA). Now, my husband and I, for two people and two vehicles pay $700 every 6 months. Just $100 more than I was paying and now there is another person and another vehicle on there. Plus, their customer service surpasses both Geico and Progressive. They have dedicated reps for the most part. My husband (when he was still single, but we were dating) told the rep that he was thinking about popping the question soon and wanted to know what the rate change would be to add me if we got married soon. The guy explained. Then, a month later when Shane called to add me, the guy told him congrats on getting married, before Shane even mentioned that he was adding his wife. They chatted it up for a bit. The dude was really nice. |

I thought it was pretty interesting because if you look at who the stakeholders are for USAA, its pretty interesting that they would do that and not insist that Indians working there take "Westernization" type courses. God i wish they would, im sick and tired of smelling cury in the morning and wanting to vomit. Not to mention all the indians like to walk in the middle of the street at all hours of the day. Maybe if my neighbors didn't have a 3 year old that liked to sceam like its getting beat all the time it'd be better, but damn i hate the smell of indian food.... and its everywhere. Oh, and to forum soldier guy, its because spanish is the ONLY other prevalent language on this hemisphere. It makes sense that we speak it here too. I am all for making students learn multiple languages, but i think spanish is the most logical choice for the 2nd language they should learn. -------------------- |

I know where you at! AHAHAHA I do too! That's freakin right there for USAA! And I know what you mean about walking in the damn street. Someone needs to tell them to not just talk and sit at machines while working out. I waited 30 freakin minutes to Hack Squat at the Spectrum off of Prue. Pissing me off! And FORSAKEN, something similar happened to my mom while she was in Maryland. They looked at my mom like shit when she would walk through the hotel lobby with her uniform on, to the point that she felt so uncomfortable that she transferred hotels. |
