Not too surprising... out of a couple of buds of mine from Lubbock that I used to work with, one of them has had probs w/his wife for spending too much time playing. The other one's wife is more accepting of it, that it's pretty much his hobby. She will even play with him and has her own account, although she doesn't play anywhere near as much as he does.

I told my husband I would give the game a fair chance.
I kept telling him I wouldn't understand how to play, but he insisted that a retard could teach himself how to play. My roommate even told him I wouldn't understand. She knows I'm gamer stupid. Guess I'm dumber than a retard. I still don't understand the concept of how to turn in quests and stuff. How the fuck do I know who I'm supposed to turn them into. Do I have to wonder around talking to every person or some shit?!?! Anyways, I found it mildly amusing. I mostly liked all the stuff I would get when I killed things. It was like a freaking treasure hunt. As usual, I got bored with it, though, after 30 minutes. How the hell people play that game all day and night I will never understand. |

Honestly, I only enjoy the game when I have buddies I know IRL to play it with. There's 2-3 I used to work with when I was in Lubbock that play, and if any 2 of us or so get bored with it and quit, the other 1-2 will follow. They've changed it around so you can solo all the way to 60 very easily but IMHO it's still a group game for sure.

My main is a 70 NE Rogue... my guild has Kara on farm and is in the process of building up a second ten-man so we can move on to 25-man content. Until then, we're trying our hand at ZA even though we're undergeared for it.

Nice. Got some Magister's heroic gear already eh? Some of my guildies have run it a couple times but I've been too busy leveling alts to go. I play in one of The Older Gamers guilds, pretty casual, only about 8-10 active so we just started running a little kara, although I'm pretty decked out in gladiator stuff already so there's prob not much other than trinkets & rings I could snag from there. That's cool about ZA, I'd love to see that place some time. My goal is to get a couple more 70s before the expansion, so raiding kinda takes a back burner for now.

Yeah, I got luck with the MaTe trinket... a guildy was in a pug there, one of their DPS had to bail right when they reached the Priestess. He gets them to invite me, we two-shot her and the Shard dropped. I was the only melee class in the party, so I snagged it. Also got a pretty good cloak enchant out of it, too. Unfortunately, none of my guildies seem to interested in running it. My buddy (we joined together) is our MH, and he won't go because 1) nothing drops there that he needs/is interested in and 2) none of the rep vendors sell anything that he needs/is interested in. I don't know a lot about Pally gear, but from what I've seen there're plenty of upgrades in Kara for people in S1 gear. Not so sure about Ret stuff, though. |

Yeah there is a lot of good pally healer & tank gear in there, just not much for ret (at least not better than what I've got). Short of 25 man raids there's not really any 2h weapons in the game better than what I have, and most of the str+stam plate gear in there is not really that great compared to the S1 ret pally gear (or warrior gear for that matter). I did just get the S2 helm the other day after several weeks of quick 10 game/wk arenas heheh. The thing with ret is you do actually need a fair amount of int. Running out of mana w/a ret pally is like a warrior having zero rage, about useless. I just need a belt, some rings/trinkets/neck, (cloak too maybe) and this guy is ready to put on the shelf for the expansion.
I will go into kara though just to see it though as I've never been in there until the other day. I enjoy seeing the new content, just not the endless 4hrs/night 4nights/week deal
