Today I wore thermal tops and bottoms, jog pants, trash bag (under the thermal top), a thick hoodie, and a boggin.
Ran over 3 miles, sprinted a bit, did pushups. Hour and a half of this workout, I was 4 and a half pounds lighter. And yes, the spitting thing I will do tomorrow on the ride down there. Rear-naked choke 96 seconds into the first round. The video one of my teammates recorded is kind of of poor, mainly because of the crowd getting in the way, but I'll post it when I get a copy (hopefully I'll get a dvd from the promotion). And hey: I didn't break my nose!!! =D -------------------- |

Walt (my coach) just called me with some news on this weekend: The fights may be off. Apparently the promoter sent an email out saying that the cage he had rented is no longer available and he's asking for anyone willing to let him use their cage for Friday/Saturday to call him. All he has is a boxing ring (3 rope), which isn't legal for MMA. I don't think anyone will let him use their cage for free, nor pay to truck it to Hobbs with the current gas prices. Oh well, he has a week to get a cage. Maybe it will happen. -------------------- |

I lost.
Second round rear-naked choke. My opponent was one tough SOB, he "prettied" up my face something nice too with some tough ground-and-pound. His takedowns were great as well, that kind of threw a wrench in my gears. Plus, I just mentally didn't feel in the fight. Blah, oh well it happens. I'll take this loss and learn from it...pick apart my displayed weaknesses and train harder for the next one. -------------------- |
