I'm sure it sucks just as much as every other Nintendo game released in the past ten years

As far as the disc read error goes, it's purportedly just lens dusts. The Smash Bros. disc is actually dual layer so any aberration on the lens will probably bork the read.Although I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo configured SSBB to try and pull in some of the haxed wii and see what people did to them or smite their warranties. My Wii is a release day Wii(neener) and it works fine.
Apparently, trying to clean the lens is like pissing on the Mona Lisa. All you can do is make it worse. -------------------- Where do we start?

I'm not buying this whole dirty lens thing. Why replace the whole unit? It's not adding up.

The way they describe it it's apparently a million times more sensitive than average solely because of the dual layer bit, which I don't find that hard to belive. especially with the fact that the Wii's that don't work seem to be completely random.

Sheik was actually toned down, IMO. I can't kick as much ass with him/her. Fox, Falco, and Wolf all were made into super badasses and should be banned from all tournament use (won't happen, though, everyone'll play those three and the tournament will be "even") Captain Falcon sucks balls. He's one of the worst characters. Link has been downgraded while Zelda has become much better.
Peach, while not getting the OHKO turnip anymore, has become a lot better. Game and Watch, while not my favorite, has become better. DK, Kirby, Bowser, and a whole bunch more have too. Especially Ness. New Characters: Dedede is a beast. Meta Knight is about four times the beast Dedede ever could be. Meta Knight's only weakness is you have to get your enemy to 150-200% before you can KO anyone. However, that's no problem as all of his B-moves have top priority in damage. And his A is retardedly insane. It's the perfect move for edge guarding. Not to mention his ability to fly and his huge recovery zone (all of his moves can be used as a recovery, the only problem is you become helpless afterwards, so you have to time it right). Snake is just as powerful as Meta Knight minus the fact that he can blow himself up (and frequently too). Lucas is powerful, Pokemon Trainer is supreme (I hate Charizard but Squirttle and Ivysaur rock). R.O.B. is pretty fun to play with as well. I hate Wario. Olimar.... sucks. He is the worst character ever. The pikmin are useless. They die so easily. Not only that but any sort of movement and they become pointless on their target. And his Up-B recovery sucks more than... well it just plain out sucks. ZSS's Up-B is similar in sucky but her Down-B makes up for it. All in all, great game. Oh yeah, Nerf Sonic. -------------------- ![]() |

I've played Olimar for trophies and challenges, His normal A button attacks actually make up for the weakness of the pikmin, but it you spam pikmin you got some pretty satisfying results about 25% of the time. Also, they didn't really do this before, but there are some characters whose NON smash attacks are more powerful. Case in point: Snake and Ike. I though I sucked with Ike until I started spamming A without any directions. Suddenly instant win. Game and Watch's final smash is broke. -------------------- Where do we start?

Snake's Forward Smash is one of the most powerful smashes in the game. You take a half-full charged forward smash from Snake with 30% damage and you're out. -------------------- ![]() |

a three hit combo at 45% is almost as deadly.
His forward smash has terribly short range. It's powerful, granted, but they have to be right in front of you to get a good effect. -------------------- Where do we start?
