I need a new computer
Only specifications - 1. Dell 2. It has to come with everything I need for work already installed - Excel, Office Pro, Word, etc 3. Must have Solitaire 4. Flat Screen monitor preferred because my desk is already cluttered 5. I'd like to be able to have Linux on there as well I don't care about RAM or anything nerdy like that because I'm not putting any porn/music on there. And price is an issue, since I'm a little short on cash. It happens when you date a whore who never pays for anything because she blows her entire paycheck on designer clothes and cocaine. And no I didn't know this when we were dating, obviously -------------------- ![]() ![]() |

One of those might do the trick, given your stated space/price issues. And 100% dead serious: be single for a while. You seem to be getting fucked over or what have you quite a bit lately by women...that, and you're dating the wrong kind of women. Cocaine problem...fuck man, that's usually not hard to spot! And why would you give her access to your cash if you've been dating her less than, what...2 weeks? -------------------- |

Can you get a computer with Office already loaded on it? I thought that violated antitrust laws. Also, just about any computer will have Solitaire on it. Not a single computer that I know of comes with a CRT monitor anymore. Those are outdated. You should only find computer packages coming with flat screen. Linux won't come preloaded either. Why would you want Linux unless you are going to be coding? Do you just want to fuck around with it a bit? Just buy the cheapest Dell computer package you can find. It will have everything you need, and you can just buy (or obtain other ways COUGH COUGH) Office separate.

Cocaine problem...fuck man, that's usually not hard to spot! And why would you give her access to your cash if you've been dating her less than, what...2 weeks? You would be correct. I blame myself for not seeing the warning signs. She was open that she used to be a drug addict. Her loser ex boyfriend was doing so much meth and got her hooked on that. I have no problem with people who used to do drugs as long as they don't now. Hell, I OD'd on coke when I was 20 and nearly died. Everyone told me if she ever got a chance with me she would straighten up. Apparently she'd always dated losers. I'm talking about druggies, woman beaters, losers who work at Taco Bell, etc. I guess I got a big ego when she kept telling me I was the best guy she'd ever dated and fell for it But people can't change. You are who you are. If you were raised as a degenerate fuckup, you'll always be a degenerate fuckup. Especially if the one chance you get to straighten out your life, you screw it up. I was her one chance. Everyone knew it. She knew it. I'm not trying to brag, but I do have a steady job, enough "side" income, a decent automobile, and a nice house. More than any other guy ever offered her. And she fucked it all up I knew little about her when we started dating a few months ago. I knew she didn't have much, I knew she had a sketchy past, but I gave her a chance. She covered everything up well - I had no idea she was still using drugs or any of the other numerous lies she told me. But she started to show her true side - getting so wasted and passing out when we had plans, the lies, everything else. Basically a complete roll reversal of what Jessica and I went through. Everyone makes mistakes. I made a mistake in thinking if we dated she'd get her shit together. She didn't and paid for it with losing her job, her boyfriend, and her home because I believe her mom kicked her to the curb. Am I at all sad or hurt by her cheating on me? Not in the slightest. Funny thing was, I was going to break up with her because I'd warned her about 7 times to straighten up. I don't like giving second chances. I found out from my roommate's girlfriend the night I'd planned on breaking up with her. It worked out perfectly because now I had a great excuse to dump her. I looked like the poor innocent victim in the entire thing. The only thing that complicates matters is the guy she fucked is a bartender up at Fowler's. Which is kind of funny, because now Erica is the laughingstock of Fowler's, none of the girls will talk to Matt because they all think he's a piece of shit, and he's TERRIFIED of me because he thinks I'll pound his face in. I don't want to tell him he did me a huge favor because I don't want to give him any sort of satisfaction But yeah, lesson learned. -------------------- ![]() ![]() |

Naw its not against the antitrust laws, having it included in windows would (which is still dumb IMHO). Dell/Sony/Toshiba/whoever else doing it is standard practice. Usually they include MS works or some crappy version, then charge you if you want the full office set. |

I will just stick to home-built desktops.

Well its not Microsoft, it's Dell, that's why it's not against any anti-trust regs.
