Waah waah, you make nasty, bigoted statements and then complain when someone calls you on it? Boo fucking hoo. Props to McCain.

Good for McCain. It's those kind of talkshow hosts that irritate me.

I don't think they ever actually exchanged words (at least not publicly).

Yeah, I don't think they talked directly. Cunninham talked before a McCain rally started, then McCain said later that he apologized for the guy's comments.

I have no problems with candidates and political commentators exchanging barbs on policy issues, but racism, sexism, bigotry, and fabrications (alluding to Obama being a Muslim, what I gathered from this article) have no place.

In his first public comment since Tuesday's event, Cunningham defended his use of Hussein, which he called "a proud Muslim name."

Sounded to me like he was implying it, even if he didn't say it outright. Anti-Obama folk have been spreading rumors for months (years?) that Obama is Muslim, in hopes of discrediting him in the public eye. Not that that *should* really matter, but it would.

Audio isn't quite synced with the video, but here's a vid of the event (and McCain's response): http://youtube.com/watch?v=gaOYtxd-dXE

This reaffirms my opinion of your intellect.

It still confuses me how you can say two completely opposing things and believe both of them true.

Do you use people's full name all the time when talking about them? People do that kind of stuff for a reason. I think it's obvious to everyone (except you maybe) that he was saying his middle name because he wants people to associate Obama w/Saddam. Do you also think Hillary has no motive behind calling herself "Hillary Rodham Clinton" when she's around liberals and women, and just "Hillary Clinton" when she's around conservatives & men?

Hrm, I never really thought about that, but I guess Rodham is her maiden name, isn't it? What a lame-o. laugh.gif
