Anyone else been playing? I bought it this weekend - pretty damn good game. I like being able to kill little brown people without risking the incarceration that comes from doing so in real life
Also, is playing online that much cooler? I've yet to bother with the online stuff - mainly because I don't have any nerd friends who sit around and play video games all day. I see no point in playing online with a bunch of people I've never met from Oregon --------------------   |

I asked about this game a while back... I'm looking to get it for PC but may wait for the Mac version.

Great game, best shooter i've seen in a while for pc. Put difficulty on hardened and its not a short game like everyone bitches about.

best game ever, i dont know anyone i play online with (so dont let that stop you) and yet i still enjoy killing people and telling them that i will keep abusing them, just like their father. its great because peoples feelings really get hurt.
for online: play m16 with double tap, 3 frags, and deep impact = ownzor play headquarters also, you get the most kills and the most XP --------------------  |

Online play for COD4 is unreal. Its hugely popular, and is a million times better than Halo 3 (which everyone was raving about until this game came out).

I haven't done anything but play CoD4 online for nearly 2 months now.

I played once... I just kept dying. It's like people knew I was a newbie and kept searching me out to help their kill to death ration. Bastards. I would play it more except 1) The game makes me dizzy and 2) Usually the XBOX 360 is being used by my other half

No they were seeking you out beacuse you show up on their radar when you fire and that's like the whole point of team deathmatch hence why my favorite combo is the P90 + Silencer w/ UAV Jammer perk

I can't seem to find an overall favorite weapon combo except:
Team Deathmatch P90 + Silencer Bandolier UAV Jammer Deep Impact I seem to get the most kills with that combination by far just stalking around killing people .... My second favorite combo for team deathmatch is the RPD w/ grip, and then Special Grenade x3, Stopping Power, Deep Impact ... the G36 is probably my favorite assault rifle for team deathmatch. I have been experimenting with using the M14 or G3 with a silencer and the UAV jammer perk as a "Medium Range" Sniper combo for team deathmatch. the general category of sniper rifles for team deathmatch absolutley suck. I can't stand trying to snipe with those on TD, it's like so completley boring and stupid. Playing Team Hardcore, Search and Destroy, the sniper rifles are pretty badass. ... I got the ASOC scope on my 50 cal and honestly went back to the default scope. it seriously didn't work as well as the default scope ... I dunno, occiasionally I'll play Ground War but overall I just like playing Team Daethmatch ... -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!

u should try headquarters. if you know the map, you can rack up a shit ton of kills, and you get the most XP.

I get just as much XP from Team Deathmatch getting 20+ kills a game now .. When you are first starting out the game, yes, HQ will give you more XP, however, HQ seriously gets boring as all fuck VERY fast. It's the same thing. Everyone and their dog has Martyrdom perk, you get blown up by grenades 4000000 times, and it just gets boring. I finally stopped even trying to capture the HQ and just started sitting outside where it was with an LMG and the deep impact perk and waiting for everyone to go in there then just mowing down like 2-4 people at once and not having to deal with the grenades ... but still HQ gets boring as hell man
