I suppose you could call this the answer to "An Inconvienient Truth" ...

This is an hour and fifteen minutes long. I suggest you all actually watch it before posting.

Really. Before you post, watch it.

why exactly are you so anti-climate change?

I think I remembered reading something in a prior thread, but don't quite remember.

Please re-read my instructions as for the requirements for responding to this thread.

WATCH THE MOTHER FUCKING MOVIE BEFORE YOU RESPOND TO THIS POST

I'm not even bothering to argue with you people if your attention spans are so small you can't be bothered to watch a documentary that's basically pulled together every thought I've had on this subject and put it all together in a coherent peice that's very well executed.

I was asking an unrelated question to the movie...

So you can't answer the question regardless if I watched the movie or not?

Another related question that I think you can answer whether or not I've seen the movie or not: Did you watch Inconvenient Truth

You're proving my point and you don't even realize it. It's sad really...

I watched (most of) An Inconvenient Truth. I thought it was a horrid piece of propaganda, with little of substance to support it. Not as bad as Michael Moore, but close.

And yes, I believe in global warming.

Christine - Watch this movie. Seriously.

I know it's long, but it's well worth your time.

I've just wondered if Dogmeat has extended the same courtesy to "Global Warming Advocates" as he expects the advocates to extend to his ideas (I am going to assume not since he didn't emphatically say something like "YES I'VE SEEN THE FUCKING MOVIE" in an appropriate 36pt. font).

No, I haven't seen the movie, and I don't intend to. Every peice of information that movie portrays has been widley reported on any major news outlet for the last decade, I really don't need to subject myself to Al Gore's political blathering in order to know what's in there.

That film was, is, and always will be a peice of political propaghanda.

You have a career politician....the guy has a fucking journalism degree for christ's sakes ... and he's claiming to be the authoratitative source on atmosphereic science.

This isn't even a scientific debate anymore, it's a relegious debate.

Does this mean you believe it exists or that you believe it exists and is due to humans?

Out of curiosity, who doesn't believe global warming exists (not necessarily due to humans, just the fact that it doesn't exist)? Do people not believe in naturally occurring cyclical climate patterns?

I believe it exists and is partially due to human influences, but that probably most of it is due to (as blaarg said) naturally occurring cyclical climate patterns.

Let me clarify:

I believe that the warming that we will begin experiencing in the coming centuries (not immediate, I hate people who paint it as immediate apocalypse) are due to human influences (and I will even say, maybe no principally due to humans).

I was just pointing out that Impala asked you if you believed in global warming (independent of human involvement),which I thought was a funny question. I can imagine someone would be hard pressed to find a person who didn't believe in at least naturally occurring warming cycles!

Oh I doubt there's many that do. I just wanted to ask her to clarify smile.gif

And it wasn't meant as a "do you believe in temperature cycles" it's more of a "do you believe we are really currently warming?"
