I know that if i lose something I can restore it with Time Machine....

System Restore almost never works on Windows.

How can I avoid making statements like that WHEN ITS TRUE?!?!

I just attempted using System Restore on my mother's computer last night and it said it couldnt complete it!!

On my own personal PC I keep it deactivated.

the system restore statement is pretty accurate.
i've had it work correctly about 1 out of 5

I've had problems with System Restore too. Never used Time Machine, though, so I can't compare.

would you say those two statements are one and the same?

And you just proved my point. You couldn't just say "Time Machine works great on my Mac" and leave it at that. You seemed to feel compelled to add your little shot on Windows.
