meh, for as much as i want a closed border, many of the people born here are a bigger problem.
i drove through a neighborhood around 43rd and J the other day and discovered the projects; tract housing with 300 black people (kids included) standing around during the middle of the weekday. the non-project housing in that area was even funnier because the homes were the non-union mexican equivalent of tuff-sheds. at least all the mexicans standing around on 19th & Q on weekdays are in search of work. |

QUOTE (FORSAKENR320 @ Mar 26 2006, 01:25 PM) most of the people that are in plainview got free housing and support from the churches . you show up "in need of help, tell the priests "i got no where else to go!" and they give you free shit. As long as the churches are using their own funds and not taxes or some shit to pay for all that, then I don't give a fuck. Yeah, it may be encouragement for illegals to come to the US, but I don't think it's any of the government's damn business who churches help out. The government needs to fix who THEY give handouts to FIRST. This post has been edited by Spectatrix: Mar 26 2006, 05:54 PM -------------------- |

This is true, but I still don't think it's right for the government to be messing with churches or other charities. Simplest and most effective thing for them to do would be to deny citizenship to children of illegal immigrants. Early on, I heard that this bill would address that issue, but I'm not seeing anything about it in current news reports. -------------------- |

living in a border city...
shit needs to be done not all, but A LOT of illegals feel like US citizen owe them some sort of gratitude. Like we should be happy they're here. Alot of people come over and work cheap., Which is understandable when the min wage in Juarez is like 4.75/day. So makeing 25/day for working your ass off for 8 hours seems like a deal. I have no problem with people wanting to come to this country. but shit, it is ILLEGAL. and there is a LEGAL process to get permanent residency here. It sucks you live in country that has potential to be wealthy but treats it's citizens like shit. But there are those that gain entry to this country legally, and i'll respect them 100X over then those in here illegally cause they ran through the fence that was cut open This post has been edited by woody: Mar 27 2006, 02:08 AM -------------------- |
