Pretty crazy stuff. I read a report from CES on these things (I'll try and find it) that they'll be able to project a screen up to 50" at 720p resolution... from your friggin phone! Pretty awesome stuff. I saw some people mentioning on AVS how you could use a video processor/scaler and build a 4K projector out of nine of these things for about 1/10th of the current cost! if you're unsure of what 4K resolution is, check this out (the green area is the current highest resolution TVs/projectors out on the market)

methinks that would kill your battery superfast, the amount of lumens it takes just to produce a picture you can see clearly with even a minimal amount of ambient light, much less in outdoor daylight

Oh damn, they probably didn't think of that... Make sure you let them know their product won't work...
 The thing is based on laser projector technology I believe. |

it uses DLP shit I'm sure which is low power.
I toured TI about a year ago and they were working on the cellphone projection then and they just released a battery operated 720 projector that is about the size of your hand... --------------------  |

The MEMs shit always has low Lumens, but what is their lightsource for the cell cameras?
