Ahhhh ok. good. It would be pretty shitty if the govt ordered a private company to help them, and then have that company be legally liable for what happens.

I'm conflicted. I agree with what you're saying in principle, but this unfortunately helps legitimize the warrantless wiretap program, which I personally think is unconstitutional. sad.gif

the problem arises with the "government ORDERED a private company to help them" part.
