It's amazing how this stuff works and how they keep track of all these planes. It really is. If you ever fly United, be sure and take a pair of headphones. Plug into the seat radio and turn to channel 9, it's live communication between the pilots and ATC. Really neat, especially when going into large airports or when you think you are in the air alone and you hear your flight referenced as crossing traffic and you look at the window and see a plane go below you. There is a lot to keep up with in the cockpit, especially when you're unfamiliar with the destination airport.
