my laptop harddrive failed, but i got it replaced already.

so its a fresh start, any suggestions for software to install? i've got the usuals, just thought i'd take stock of what's useful these days

It shows up as if it was another computer on your network. You can just browse to it via UNC path. Don't let the reviews you'll see say otherwise. Supposedly the software that comes with it sucks and that's all the problems people have. It configs just like a router. As with routers, the first thing I do when I open the package is toss the CD that came with it. You look up the IP it got via DHCP, then browse to that. This is a rock solid piece. It's been plugged in for nearly four months and I haven't touched it since I first plugged it in.

I just added a review since the dipshits on there can't figure the thing out.
