No day but today... Group: Members Posts: 773 Joined: 22-February 06 Member No.: 5 |
My family is getting so big (we're up to 8 children with the addition of Jason) that we are doing a gift exchange. I drew names for the list of who gets who, but I'm trying to think of rules/boundaries that should be set. Do any of your families do something similar? What rules do you have? Also, what's an appropriate price limit to set for a family that has college students, newlyweds, new parents, new homeowners and newly employeds (after being unemployed for the past year)?

Also, what's an appropriate price limit to set for a family that has college students, newlyweds, new parents, new homeowners and newly employeds (after being unemployed for the past year)? First, don't look quite so constipated when giving the gift like you did in your weddings pictures. This makes the receiver of the gift think you're giving them a pile of shit.. Second, don't talk too much about it. Just be like "here you go" and don't come off all snobby and expect them to grovel at your feet because you bought them a $13.50 electric lightup snowman from K-Mart. Other than these things, there are really rules have FUN! -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!
