I think this points out a much more glaring problem in our country. That living in the here and now and grasping at money is the way to do things. The idea that our children will inherit our problems seems to skip right over our generation.

people with the most money arent typically the people who do the most good works

you can make a huge difference being in poverty. you dont need a lot of money to do a lot of good. money is a very small factor in that

since when have you seen a poverty stricken person donate 60 million out of their own pocket to fight aids? sorry... but that 60 million goes alot further than volunteering on the weekend.

and i don't know how much contact you have with "poverty stricken" but most of the people i know in that situation have a lot more to worry about for themselves than for others. you may be thinking of the lower middle class as "poverty" there sugar tits

AND i wasnt saying people who are in poverty do the most good i was saying you could be in poverty and still contribute significantly to helping others. you can do an amazing amount of good simply donating your time. that is the most imporant part imo

yes donating time is significant, but no amount of time donated will pay for vaccinations/medical supplies/food supplies for needy people (I guess unless you spend the time raising money, but if you had money you could cut out the middle man)...
