So can we trust a company from the United Arab Emirates to manage some of our major ports? Should it concern us that they're an arab country? Or is that racist to think that way? What about the fact that the UAE is one of our leading supporters in the war on terrorism?

I think the last company was British, so apparently it's normal for a foreign private company to manage the ports.

my initial reaction was that this is a stupid thing to do. how do we REALLY know the UAE isn't secretly collaborating with terrorist organizations or has their own agenda against us?

but, the UAE is known for being a well civilized country, and i didn't know that other foreign countries had control before..so whats the beef?
