Ok, so I'm looking for a good video player for OS X. I'm basically using my laptop to stream video off of my computer upstairs off my wireless network (which I know is far from being a perfect setup to begin with).
My only problem is that I can't seem to find a media player that fits all my needs. I like how MPlayer X has separate applications so that I can have the controls on my computer and the playback on the TV, but playback is pretty choppy. VLC would be perfect except for the fact that whenever I go into fullscreen mode, the playback goes to my laptop screen instead of my TV. Quicktime would also be perfect, but it just doesn't support enough file formats. Any suggestions? -------------------- Holy shit, pebkac, you're awesome! Yeah I use Perian but I guess it is just one of those things I forget about after I have it installed. I know there is a way to do it in VLC though.
Of course there is always the option of going into the Displays Preference in the System Preferences and dragging the menu bar to the other screen. That will make Quicktime play full screen on that window too. Not necessarily a fluid or pretty solution though. |
