when are people gonna realize that if someone wants to shoot you, they will. regardless of whatever rules/law is in place. yeah it sucks but taking away my guns won't fix the problem.

ok serious answer...

1. deer hunting wouldn't be nearly as fruitful as I've never bow hunted. boar management would be much more difficult using snares and traps. then killing them would much messier.

2. I would be more nervous about my ability to protect my family from harm as I am not a ninja. the oultlaw will still have a firearm when honest men are disarmed.

3. I would have to find a new hobby that wastes a shitload of my money.

4. I would lose my quiver of honed skills as marksmanship is a perishable one. something I didn't know until I touched a firearm for the first time in a while.

for your info, after I got out of the marines I didn't touch a weapon for several years, and when I did it was a deer rifle. at that point, I realized that while at one point I was a marksmaship instructor and designated marksman, that was not the case anymore. granted my learning curve was small to regain what I had forfeited those couple years, but it was there.

at which point I decided to exercise my rights as an american. you'd better use them or this govt will slowly creep up on them...and be gone before you know it.

1. So let's ban handguns and assault rifles? I don't see how those are necessary for hunting.
2. I don't understand this argument. A good number of weapons criminals have are stolen from legitimate people. If it's difficult for legitimate folk to get firearms, it's more difficult for criminals to get them too.

3 and 4 are personal reasons, so I won't address them.
