My girlfriend's car was broken into this morning. They took the CD player, some CDs and her insurance card.
Any idea what they would want with the insurance card? As far as I know it does not contain any sensitive information. -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |

Less of a chance they'll get caught. No insurance card = lower chance of filing insurance claim = less chance of an investigation = less chance of getting arrested. I'm being sarcastic, but car theives aren't the brightest people in the world. They did, after all, try to break into my locked truck using a flathead screwdriver to pry the door open. Dipshits.
They also have her address now, which is BAD. You break into a car with several thousand bucks worth of stuff in it, and it only goes to think that where they live might have equally valuable stuff. And now they got your address. This might actually be the most logical explanation -------------------- ![]() ![]() |

I dont know anyone who wouldnt file a claim simply because their insurance card was stolen. Most people have the paperwork to their insurance at home...or they have online access to file a claim.
