do words ending in 'x' have an apostrophe (if possessive)?
two people i work with almost got into fisticuffs over this at our weekly meeting; one claiming that names (such as alex or max or fox) have an apostrophe 's,' the other thinking that it would be the name sans the 's' anyone know? |

i think the ones that end in S just end in s' like "chris' frisbee"
but i've never heard about the x doing the same thing. i think alex's frisbee looks normal to me. -------------------- ![]() |
