Yeah, this is the kind of shit that makes me mad. Some people do authorize other lawmakers to cast a vote for them in a certain way if they're unable to be present for various reasons. Understandably, lawmakers can't be present for every vote. I'm torn on this for that reason.
But ultimately I feel they should make the effort to be present and vote themselves. I DON'T approve of a lawmaker voting in place of fellow party members who aren't present without their permission and sticking their ballot in a party-line mambo.
