devote, assembly line job, ex marine father gets tired of his life and delves into the even seedier underground of his online poker world. there he meets hot4u 17yr old girl in West Virginia. He tells her hes a 17yr old marine in Iraq and they "fall in love." More like searching for everything they are missing and believing obsession and compulsion is a replacement for actual human connection. He develops a deep seeded fantasy and creates yet another persona that is actually himself, a 45 yr old ex marine but the father of the boy the 17yr old girl is falling in love with. All three (actually 2 people) develop a Freudian love triangle and the "father" is the messenger for the two lovers complete with his own drama and mistrust of his "son's" relationship.
He goes to his work and brags about his online relationship and tells people he will leave his wife and family. He writes he cant wait until he turns into the 17yr old marine boy he created and doesnt understand whats taking so long. A young man from his work that he plays poker with starts chatting up the love interest of the man. Now its an entire Greek tragedy and much back and forth between all 4 (actually 3 now) people.
The wife of the guy finds out and send a letter to the young girl. He comes clean but their online relationship doesnt stop. He kills the young man in a jealous fit.
Police go to talk to girl and find out its a 45yr old poor fatty who was prostituting images of her teenage daughter to get men to talk to her, but only wanted to "help" them
