I am heading to Philadelphia then on to Seattle in September and I was wondering if anyone had taken the Amtrak from Philly to Newark before?

It's $50 for the train ride which isn't bad but I'd like to know what the service on the train is. Is there buy-on-board food? How long does the trip take?

Its true that they dont have their own rail lines but they are the highest priority trains on the freight lines that they use due to the financial incentives
