I know we just had a thread about Denver, but this one is different. I just got a job in Denver and I'll be moving in the next few weeks. Anyone have any insight to this city that I should know?
Where are the bad parts of town that I don't want to live in? That sort of thing. Anything is helpful.

awesome, my grandparents live at 17th and hudson in the park hill area. around there is one of the nicest areas in the city, but the ghetto is still mixed in with it. colfax is the biggest main street running east/west, but it's huge dump (drive 3 blocks north or south anywhere off colfax, though, and it's nice)

there are a shitton of backhouses and such if you want to live close and have a yard, but expect to pay for the convenience.

some apartments in the capitol area, probably also pretty expensive. around the city park golf course (north of colfax on colo blvd) there are more apartments, and i think they've been cleaning up that area for a while.

the coors field area is industrial-ish, but some newer trendo apartments up that way. the farther away from coors field (closer to lodo) there will be more good ($$$) places.

stay away from the cheesman park area (south of colfax) unless you like dudes

if you're looking for cheap, MLK blvd is quite a bit further north, and that's the worst part of the park hill area.
