I was under the impression that many liberals believe that the minimum wage doesn't really benefit the poor. It really only benefits middle class high school kids.

I obviously didn't NEED the wage to survive, but if there was an increase, that meant I had more to spend on a new skate deck... however, I hate socialism in most any form. I do not think we need to "fix" our system to help lower income people make more money "just cuz". education, putting a fuckin leash on the rampant raping of welfare...these things will help people motivate themselves. you start socializing everything and you're gonna end up with a huge separation of wealth (see: nicaragua). has our society ever been this bad? have we ever had this many social services? anyone see a correlation there? |
