If you could name one song that may define an era in your life what would it be?
For me The Cranberries-Zombie kind of defines the 90s for me. I'm not sure why, just that when I hear it it takes me back to that time. -------------------- Don't sweat the petty, pet the sweaty.

God, where do I start?
Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit. Say what you want about the song, but it got me off Whitney Houston and Vanessa Williams and in to grunge. King Missile - Detachable Penis. I still remember being scared as hell when this song came on the radio and I was in the car with my mom going to school in 6th grade Local H - High Fivin MF Afghan Whigs - Debonair The entire Alice In Chains - Jar Of Flies album. I was so obsessed with AIC that I was one of the first 5000 or so to buy the special edition CD with plastic flies in it. In retrospect, I should have sold it on Ebay for $100 after Layne died. Pantera - Far Beyond Driven. The entire album. I remember putting it on during our middle school's Halloween festival and pissing everyone off. Jane's Addiction - Stop Descendents - Coffee Mug. I could listen to that song on the way to school about 35 times, since it was only thirty seconds long Oasis - D'you Know What I Mean, Supersonic, Acquiesce, etc. Nirvana - Rape Me. Offspring - Self Esteem White Zombie - Astrocreep 2000. Everything on it. Still one of my favorite albums of all time Monster Magnet - Negasonic Teenage Warhead. Listened to it on repeat the entire time I was at Sea Camp in 8th grade Green Day - Dookie. The album that got me into playing drums. Green Jello - Three Little Pigs. Anthrax - The Sound Of White Noise. The whole album Red Hot Chili Peppers - Suck My Kiss. The first time I ever made out with a girl was to this song in 6th or 7th grade. Nine Inch Nails - Wish. Still one of the heaviest songs I've ever heard. I could think of a million more that the second I hear them, it takes me back 10+ years to a better time -------------------- ![]() ![]() |
