So I've been doing this for a while and figured some of you probably do it to but if it gets done enough, maybe we can stop direct mailings.

I hate getting mail from the credit card companies. So, when it comes, I take everything out of the envelope, remove all information about me (shred the application), including barcodes.

Then I put the junk that is useless (rates, and information sheet) back in the given pre-paid envelope and it goes in a stack on my desk. About once every few weeks I take the stack to the mailbox and voila, my war with the credit card companies commences.

You can also add heavier things to it so that the rate goes up.

The bulk rate for mail is around $.60 per envelope. Add in costs for equipment to open the envelopes, process them, and any labor and I would figure it goes from $1-2 per envelope...

So if you get bored on a Saturday, it's one way to have some fun.

heheh cool

not that this has anything to do with anything, it just reminded me of general annoyances in life. the national do not call list works big time.

http://www.donotcall.gov

if you get lots of annoying telemarketer calls add your number to the list, within one month poof 99% of the calls are gone (by law companies are required to comply).
