What would you consider a good GRE score? I just took it and I'd kind of like to gauge how I did.

i thought a good GRE score would be a lot higher than 1100

i am trying to slowly prepare for mine now. im going to be taking it in october but i cant get myself to start looking at my books.

for the people that did prepare, how did you go about doing it? i have the kaplan math and verbal books and they seem really good. i just cant get myself to look at them

for me to be comfortable with my chances to get into the graduate school i want i need at least a 1300 on my GRE. ill have above a 3.0 gpa, lab experience, pretty good letters of recomendation, a leadership role in an organization, and work experience in a relevant field. and im told thats barely enough. you people make graduate school seem way too easy

if you get a 1300 PLUS what you mentioned, you will be just fine.

I've still got to send off my app to UT/LBJ...
Stellar letters of rec + professional research experience + 3.752 GPA + 1100 GRE (yeah, I suck...not) = what I hope is acceptance.

Just look over everything broadly at first and see which things give you the most trouble after a couple of practice tests. Then, study those sections like crazy. Take many, many practice tests.
