i don't think you guys understand what the thing does.

say i'm playing a game, and pressing the 'R' key reloads my gun.
here's how it goes:
1. I think, man I need to reload my gun
2. My brain says, well if I want to reload the gun, I need to press 'R'
3. My brain decides the best way to do that is to lift my left index finger and move it forward and to the right, then press down.
4. The impulse to do this then gets sent.

what this thing does is cut out steps 3 and 4. it sense that brain activity that says "hey I want to press the 'R' key". so you're not doing any more thinking than you did before. now granted, if games ended up being completely run by this thing, people could start to lose their hand/eye coordination they've gained by playing these games, but people wouldn't be having strokes or aneurisms (sp?).

edit: oh and they're not just talking about using this kinda technology... read the whole article. they're saying these things will be out to market possibly as early as christmas this year.
