i can't decide. i honestly wouldnt call it an amnesty bill, considering the vast majority of the people wouldn't be able to afford or even want to pay the $5,000 fine or whatever.
as far as the people, you will never get them all out of the country. if you don't help them stay legally, they'll just stay here illegally. if there was a way of getting them all out I'd be all for it but it's just not possible. i do think there should be a one strike and you're out kinda thing, i.e. if you're here illegally and you commit a crime, you get immediately deported. |
