As a skater, it bothers me when we get a bad name because of moronic kids who pay no attention to laws. Was the cop excessive? Sure. But the kids were more than likely knowingly breaking the law. There are tons of "No Skateboarding" signs posted where skating isn't allowed.
I've skated one pool recently with the permission of my friend's parents. They were getting it retiled so it didn't matter if I fucked anything up. I would never sneak into an empty pool and skate it. Also, I don't skate where there are a lot of people and there are signs posted. Plenty of other places to skate legally. Kids skating downtown where there are a bunch of stip shops and people walking around is quite reckless --------------------   |
