i was going for professional. i agree with the plain too. i'll try to work on that.
it wasn't a template. i hand coded the whole thing, except the blog, which i made to fit my design. what about changing the link colors from blue to something that stands out more? maybe the header image to orange and white and then the links to orange. -------------------- Don't sweat the petty, pet the sweaty.

i was going for professional. i agree with the plain too. i'll try to work on that. it wasn't a template. i hand coded the whole thing, except the blog, which i made to fit my design. what about changing the link colors from blue to something that stands out more? maybe the header image to orange and white and then the links to orange. what ever you do, choose a color scheme. usually best to use 3 different colors. i believe the main should be the baish you currently have. it's warm, friendly, professional, and easy on the eyes. if you do orange, don't go for a high school girl bright in your face orange, maybe a burnt orange. it will give you a look of style if you can pull it off right. and then the 3rd color should be something darker. almost a black, or a dark deep brown would be better. would help contrast the baish AND the burnt orange, while the high contrast would provide a bit of "modern" look. very important to make sure your dark color isn't too black though, or your entire layout will look halloweenish. and i didn't think you copy-pasted it, it just looked like you did is all. other color options you should try would be to stick with the baish, and use a dark navy blue for accent. always liked the way it looked, with maybe a bit of dull/brushed gold for the links and other really small bits to bring out a bit of style. -------------------- |
