A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?

this seems pretty reasonable to me. honestly you're not gonna stop them from coming in, and they have such a desire to flip our burgers and mow our grass for $8/hr, I say let em. and it most definitely is not "amnesty" like the lefties keep trying to claim. amnesty doesn't usually entail this type of stuff (article here):
QUOTE
The deal would place the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants on a swift course to legal status, making them eligible for four-year "Z" visas that would be renewable indefinitely. In exchange they would have to pay a maximum $5,000 fine per family, undergo a criminal background check and learn English.

After an eight-year wait, the "Z" visa holders could apply for legal permanent residency and eventually citizenship.

Once certain border security measures had been in place, the plan would create a temporary worker program, bringing 400,000 foreigners to work here on two-year visas. These workers would have to return to their country for a year before they could come back.
