I am trying to help my girlfriend with a problem she is having but I don't use external drives the way she does (she's using the auto-update sync features) so I can't figure out what's wrong.
She wants to see the files on the drive and possibly restore some, as well as change the settings as to what gets updated, but there is no admin tool or anything. The WD website is vague. Any ideas? -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |

Well, she has the sync tool and when she would run it, it would update her files but she couldn't figure out how just to view them.
Apparently this program (WDSync) organizes things its own way and just viewing the files through Windows Explorer doesn't make sense (it has folders A-Z with crap in them). So I had her reboot, re-plugin the drive and re-sync. This time it synced and asked her if she wanted to view the files. Now I just gotta figure out how to just view files (and pull them off the drive) without syncing. -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |
