My girlfriend's sister is considering Lubbock for school next year and my girlfriend and I are taking her to Tech this weekend to show her around.
We'd like some activities to fill the weekends so I was thinking a concert on Friday night (more for my girlfriend), then a tour of Tech on Saturday morning, lunch at Chimy's (I need a margarita), then maybe a tour of the winery, or Prairie Dog town (do you just go to Mackenzie and walk to that part?), or something like that. Any suggestions as to what to show someone who is serious about going to school at Tech? Simple, cheap(er), and fun would be great. I know that I lived there for four years but I never did anything very "Lubbock like"... She's cute, but she's pretty quiet though she talks to me a lot.
A couple of my friends that live on campus are going to show her around Stangel (which is where she is living if she goes to Tech) which will be good. I have invited a few of my friends to eat lunch with us at Chimy's so that she can meet some people and see that there are people outside of the frat/sorority circles (she's not interested in that). -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |
