Ok, I have to kinda rant a little bit....

I am absolutely sick of seeing people walking around wearing their Bluetooth headsets when they're not even on the phone. I know that it powers off after a period of inactivity, but honestly...are you really THAT important to wear it all the fuckin time?

Another thing...they're too damn ubiquitous. I am sick of seeing them on the ears of soccer moms and people driving shitty ass cars, and YES, even HOMELESS PEOPLE!!! Take your piece of shit ass BT off your ear and raise your lazy ass hand to your ear!

I remember having a BT headset when they were really new and didn't work all that well, and people would look at me like I was nuts because it looked like I was talking to myself....now everyone has one. Fucking god damnit.

Ok, I'm done. Thanks for your time.

dude, i drive a shitty ass car and use my headset in it all the time -- my headset cost me $13.37 (no joke - the wootoff)

I also use bluetooth headphones to listen to my music all the time -- and I fucking love them.

If I'm not driving or on a long (thirty minutes or longer) conversation (which is either gonna take place in my car or in my room) then I put it in my pocket.

I don't throw a temper tantrum over other people doing it though.

btw chook, bluetooth 2.1 is supposed to help with the channelhopping issues with A2DP. Headsets don't really have the same problem that headphones do because the data is at such higher compression and lower bandwidth that it's not really an issue, as long as it's BT1.1 or higher. 1.1 was where they integrated basic frequency hopping stuffs at 1mhz apart.

Ah interesting, thanks for the info. When I did my second senior project I wrote a much better hopper algorithm than bluetooth had, but everything else sucked in it.
